Ignore the troll reviews from other fandoms. This album is the real deal. A more mature offering from Tony and Gaga’s first foray “Cheek to Cheek.” Here, there is more control, more presence and they both really sink into songs. It’s near perfection.

I’m giving an album I haven’t heard 5 stars - why?Because I haven’t looked forward to a new recording this much for many years. I can’t say I was a fan of Lady Gaga’s pop solo stuff (I may be a bit past the average age of her target demographic) but the 2015 recording of Cheek To Cheek with my all time favorite Great American Songbook artist Tony Bennett quickly eliminated any doubts I might have had about her God-given singing talent. That release remains one of the top albums in my playlist - and so of course I’m eagerly looking forward to their together-again release of Cole Porter standards Sadly I’ve just learned that Tony is stepping away from stage performing for health concerns and it’s unclear if there may be additional recordings. So I’m wishing blessings on Tony, his family and Lady Gaga. Thank you for giving your fans one more musical gift.
