Many songs mixed today's modern beat very well with Billie Holiday's era. This album is awesome and needs some more recognition.

Considering I'm a lifelong listener of Lady Day I really like the new mix and honestly, she'd love to experiment with music thus establishing her own style which we known refer to as "iconic." I think she would probably be very happy that we're still listening to her in any shape or format, etc. My fav off this remix is " I Hear The Music" by Swingsett.

Interesting but pathetic. Shows the difference between yesturday and today's music

It is so wrong to take Billie's voice and set it to disco. Makes me sick.

I listen to this record NONSTOP, ALL THE WAY THROUGH with the exception of Pennies from Heaven.. for some reason I can't get into that song but everything else is divine. Divine.
    • Great way to bring the old into the new.

I always liked Billie Holiday, and I'm way into electro and dance music. When I saw this album and listened to it, I didn't stop dancing to this for about 2 weeks. I listen to it while I'm gardening, working out, doing yoga, cooking, cleaning... just about anywhere and anytime. Ive read the other reviews and it seems like you either love it, or you hate it. My favorite track is "Spreadin' Rhythm Around" for sure! I think that this album is a wonderful way to keep Billie fresh and alive in a new century. I bet she'd like it if she heard it. I would love to hear this in the clubs too.

This album isn't for the jazz purist, it's for the house music fan, and it's sick! If you are over 40, u should prob skip it!

most of these mixes are crap, they left out alot of good songs. and the only half way good sounding mix is summertime... tisk tisk

although the album as a whole is a little scattered [it's a remix collection, afterall]... purchasing dj logic's remix of "glad to be unhappy" is the best decision you could ever make. that beat, the orchestration, the noir mood that billie always evokes... perfection. the gxr remix of "long gone blues" is excellent, as well.

This album is an insult to her. Unlistenable.
