My younger brother is a huge fan and this album actually does have some great songs. Listening to the lyrics and really enjoying the root of the song is so inspiring but yet emotional. I love it, slowly liking more Metallica because they are a awesome band. This music does pump me up at work.

Every song on this an absolute masterpiece. Best album ever created and master of puppets is a close second. Here are my ratings and explanations: Fight fire with fire: Love the riff in this song and the guitar solo is awesome. If you want proof that Lars is one of the best drummers of all time, listen to this song. 9/10 Ride the Lightning: The riff is spectacular and the guitar solo is one of the best of Kirk Hammett. Could be better on the vocals. 7.5/10 For Whom the Bell Tolls: The bass is so good I thought it was an electric guitar at first. I listen to this song before every baseball game. So hype. 9/10 Fade to Black: This song left me speechless. Thank you Metallica for gifting us this work of art. A lot of people can relate to this song and I almost cried at first. 10/10 Escape: Why do they not play this song live? This is a great song and I love the message it sends. My only problem is the outro and the shortness of the guitar solo. 8/10 Trapped Under Ice: A very underrated song. I love the beat and the pre-guitar solo. If the guitar solo was longer this would be the best song off the album. 9.5/10 Creeping Death: The best song on the album. A great intro and guitar solo. I like the relation to the story of Egypt and Moses. The chorus is also very good. Not a single flaw. 10/10 The Call of Ktulu: I like the intro but I never understood why it’s an instrumental. It’s also a little too long. I mean, an instrumental as the longest song on the album? This is the only song on the album I skip from time to time. 6/10 Overall, this album shows why Metallica is one of the best bands of all time. And my favorite Metallica song isn’t even on this album. P.S: My favorite song is One. Listen to it if you want to experience a masterpiece.

Now I believe that up to Load, and Garage Inc, and you can say St.Anger is there last true Metallica album before they started to take the turn for the worst, but out of the 4 albums from the 80’s we got from them, this is my favorite album. The opening song states the hold tone of this album, the calm melodies of the harp, to straight up yelling about nuking the planet, it kick, I love the tempo and rhythm of the whole album. Now for Fade to Black, Creeping Death, and For Whom the Bell Tolls, they all have some kicking riffs like the 3:30 second mark of Fade to Black, it build up case tention to go with what sounds like a chain saw, FWBT and it opening, and the same for Ride the Lightning. Now my favorite songs goes out to Escape, at first I could care less, it I like what the opening does and the whole image and mindset I get from it. Now I feel like some of the riffs are wrote by Dave Mustang, and that they were wrote before he got kicked out, and I’m not to huge into Megadeath, but there is a very unique sound of the guitars, that ain’t hers in any other album. Now Master of Puppets is also good, and And Justice for All, but every song on this goes hard with the tones of death, treason , drunk, and giving up hope. I have nothing more to say other than, this is one heck of a album, and if you want to buy a album for $10.00 then I think that your search has ended as soon as I type the period… now.
