In The Darkest Of Nights, Let The Birds Sing - EP

I really enjoy this one, pretty much each track too! I can definitely feel where alot of the people’s hearts came from that wrote some of the poorer reviews here, in a nutshell most saying “well I can’t get into it, Torches was a insanely awesome record that I loved so much, I wanted and expected more of it”….. Soooo, I mean they’re a band after all and part of that package is coming into your own and experimenting with different sounds and flavors/styles tempos, folks it’s called growth and it’s what good quality music acts are supposed to be doing. It’s as normal & natural as a nice lady friend who’s had absolutely zero plastic surgery work done to her, doing ultimate~jumping-jacks & flying high on a backyard trampoline for a spontaneously formed from nowhere, coming out-of- the-woodwork for an impromptu magic show, gawking + grateful male audience of spectators that are gathered round to witness the fun woman with no shirt on+huge, melon~esque, big ol’ DD’s flopping so wildly and powerfully that eventually they make contact with her face like an airbag, knocking her out cold flipping her right off the trampoline and crashing down into a massive cactus patch where she swiftfully + quickly jumps up and out of, unfortunately the safe area which she jumps to from the prickly pear cactus patch happens to be a massive in size and very much so~randomly placed lemon-juice waterfall type ground level birdbath/change fountain-pool, causing an instant and prolonged period of extreme burning pain… as the high PH level lemon juice seeps N’ soaks itself into the multitude of cacti puncture wounds and other various contusions and scrapes occurred during the unconsciously performed, listing, gracefully executed sideways-quadruple 180 + Superman backflip into a dense cactus patch filled with jagged rocks and roaming monitor lizards.

Pretty decent, Cadillac is pretty bland and boring which isn’t normal for a Foster song, but everything else on this EP I can appreciate

Lamb’s Wool is one of the best songs they’ve ever made, and Your Heart is My Home is good too. But the rest of this LP is disappointing. Usually, I’ll go with Foster on their weird journeys, but I just can’t with this. Have loved them for a decade and will still love them despite this misfire.

Why is this better then the rest of the stuff they’ve released? 😅 don’t get me wrong their music is good but this stepped it up.

Never disappointed, they’ve put out yet another zeitgeist album that slaps. All bops, major dance vibes, busting moves. Thank you thank you thank you ✨✨✨
