From the opening track to the final pluck on the last track, the sound of the veena drew me inward. The lyrical ragas and beauty of the recording make for a wonderful background for my meditations. While I don't always listen to it just for meditation, it seems to transport me to another time and place whenever I listen.

This is a really gorgeous recording. The veena is such an gentle and beautiful instrument and in this album it is played very well.
There is lots of beauty and purity in the playing.
Few people know this, but the veena is actually one of the most ancient instruments from India, much older than it's more famous relative the Sitar.
This album is a perfect introduction to the venerable instrument.
