i just downloaded slip away, only to find out that it was a re-recording with this awful techno-synth cowbell beat drowning out all the instruments. just plain annoying. it sounds like a nintendo game. i havent listened to the rest of this album but the fact that it ruins a great soul classic is enough for me to bash it. after all, that song is half the reason a lot of people would buy this record.

If you don't know who this guy is you need to find out NOW! Strokin is the one party song EVERYONE can have a blast listening to. Period. While Strokin' is his most populr, the rest is pretty good too. It's worth the price of admission if you're an oldies/beach/funk/party music fan.
