Three gorgeous and one disappointing

To be clear: EBTG are my favorite band and I ADORE their music since the mid 80s. And their most recent, "Fuse", is a jewel. The change to acoustic is gorgeous and evidences the overwhelming musical career of both Ben and Tracy. Tracks 2, 3, and 4 are gorgeous in the piano version, but I could not say the same of track 1. I honestly think that it kind of fails, and it is evidenced in Ben's piano treatment, drearier than his lovely melodies in the rest of the album. The explanation is simple: the force in "Nothing Left To Lose" does not reside in its melody, but in its amazing sense of rhythm. If you remove the latter in an acoustic version, it logically weakens the song itself. This probably would not have passed if replaced by other tunes like Interior Place or, even, Karaoke.
