I loved this song when it was first out and i still do. I think this is a great rerecording and i think that Irene certainly can still sing. If your a fan of the song or if you are an Irene Cara fan give it a listen.

I grew up with the original and this is not it. It is pretty depressing knowing that a song that you have grown up with is no longer available to purchase from the iTunes Store. Please Please get the original some how!!!!!

The original Georgio Moroder version is only on the Flashdance Soundtrack! That is not available here for legal reasons. Irene did a smart thing by releasing this version to make a few bucks, and the copy is to honest OK, but her vocal on the original 25 years prior is FLAWLESS, and nobody, NOBODY can copy Georgio. Nice try.

As a 16 year old highschool guy and member of the football and wrestling team i'm offen critized for wearing a Irene Cara T Shirt to school. The truth is i love irene, and her song "what a feeling" touch's my heart and i think is a story of my life, i dare all of you to listen to this song with out crying, or even shedding as much as one tear, if you don't buy this song then your missing out.

Not an expert-- but love the original of this song, and the version I have on the Flashdance soundtrack is actually different (and better) than this one. Clearer vocals, better instrumentation, etc... This version is real close, but has tiny differences that don't do anything to improve upon the original!
