I don't understand why people are so worked up about this new sound. So what if Auto tune is involved, so what if it's more commercialized? The more "fresh" it sounds and the more mainstream, the more people it will reach and the more people will hear God's word. How can that be anything but a blessing? I love this and I love his ability to evolve musically.

My husband listens to Rap and Hip Hop and I don't. When he got in my car and heard Deitrick Haddon's "Reppin The Kingdom" and then this song he thought I backslid!!! I saw his head bopping to the beat out the side of my eye. Finally after a few minutes he asked me was it "Akon"?? I told him no, it's a Praise CD I made off of iTunes and he said "Oh, I like it"................ It's the beat that catches the ear and prayerfully the Words that will capture the heart! Keep doing what you're doing Tye! God Bless!!!

I like the "fresh" take on Gospel. Keep doing what you're doing. For us young at heart this Gospel music meets a need.
    • C'mon everybody! It's not like the whole album is AutoTune!

    • I didn't know that a beat makes a song secular. Stop Hating!

The song is HOT! If he is honoring God with his song you can't tell him how to praise God. If it's not lude, or disrespectful or obscene or something that goes against the word then let him praise the way he wants to. If you don't like it turn it off or don't buy it, but stop judging him for what he does. Everyone tries to say "You're looking like the world", well does that mean we can not praise and dance because it might look like the world? Get over it! I've seen Michael Jackson concerts where people praise that man harder than we praise our God. How many people might he reach that would never have listened to Gospel music?
    • Irritated College Student

These comments are really irritating! As a college student in my early twenties it is so hard to find gospel music to listen to . Gospel music is NOT ALL CHOIR music...as a matter of fact, thats the music i tend to stay away from. Who cares if you think he is working with secular artist.. WHAT IS HIS MESSAGE SAYING?????? I LIKE THIS!!! Its new and something to add to my gospel collection. For those complainging about being disappointed, Im going to assume that you all are an older crowd. Get over it, get out of your stuck ways, its a new generation, and if you cant deal then go PRAY ABOUT IT. The current generation are YOUR future leaders, and if your so busy worrying about how "secular" TYE TRIBBET sounds with autotune, BEWARE you have way more to worry about...LASTLY, I will just say this, I'd rather my younger siblings dancing around to this rather than some NICKI MINAJ or LIL WAYNE nonsense. Please think about it as I will pray for each of you :) GOD BLESS!

I am soooooo tired of hearing carbon copies of someone else's music. This song definitely lacks creativity. But whatever floats your boat. I respect the message, but the world is filled with carbon copies. How can you stand out if you look and sound like everyone else? I love Tye, but this song is played and sounds very dated because of auto-tune.

I love the new track. Anyone who knows me knows that I am your biggest fan by far. I honestly pray for you everyday because I see the call God has on your life. MY HUMBLE SUGGESTION to you is that you take a page out of Kirk Franklin's book on how to make a comeback. I have followed the gospel music industry for over 25 years. If you remember a few years back the church had basically thrown Kirk out by saying things like he was too worldly and he was not anointed. I know it sounds crazy. But Kirk saved his career when he released his Rebirth album. He went for the most "Churchy" sound he could find. The song "Hosanna" is the ONLY reason Kirk is who he is today. You're going to have to release songs that can be "easily" be sung by church groups and choirs. Once you get that base established then you can release more uptempo songs. There is a reason why Kirk always calls himself "The Church Boy". He's not crazy. He knows that is his foundation. This is why he has had so much longevity. Although the majority of his record sales come from non-christians. Tye, I don't want you to fall into the trap of so many gospel artist that are "too wordly for the church" and "not worldy enough for the world". That's a dangerous place to be because you have no place to really market your music. The church will accept uptempo music if they know your foundation is in church. The secular world will also listen if they know your foundation is in the church. The church is so fickle, all they need is one good singable song and they'll eventually forget everything that has happened in your past. It's all about the song. Pick the "churchiest" sounding song on your next cd and make that your new single. I'm sure you know the sound I'm talking about. Be blessed. I'm praying for you man!!

People of God what does 'real' gospel music sound like? And who established that sound? All music comes from God it is man who pervets it. This song or tye are no representation of perversion. This song represents a transition and change in his ministry. Please people really? If you don't like the song that's one thing,... That has no reflection on his anointing or personal life.... Will the real body of Christ stand up.

If you don't like this song, you clearly don't know music. This man is a genius, and the story and the principle behind his FRESH movement is what makes this an amazing song. Will all of his tracks be like this? Of course not, but anyone who knows Tye Tribbett knows that he doesn't mind testing the boundaries, so with that being said, go out and support his music, and the movement that God has placed on his heart. Thanks!
