Gave this sci-fi novel a whole other dimension...wonderful inspiration for Grimes musical landscape!

This was the first album i heard from Grimes. At first i was not impressed but she kept popping up on the purity ring station on pandora so i looked her up, i imedietly regreted the time i hadn't spent listening to her. Her songs are morbid, upbeat, and calm all together, with deap bass, and vulnerable lyrics, it makes for a perfect roadtrip soundtrack. I would strongly recommend all her albums to open minded people who are willing to appreciate such an odd mixture.

This is definitely my favorite Grimes album. I like the other two, but something about this one is different.
    • Love it! Different from her newer stuff.

It's great to see how the now-famous Grimes got her start. This CD is a little more lo-fi, a little rougher, but ethereal and compelling. If you're really attached to her newer sound (ie Visions,) this might not be for you but give it a shot! :)
