    • Astounding!

I absolutely love this album. I've had it for a year now and I keep coming back. Many people complain about the singers vocals but he has a great voice and complex lyrics to back it up. I love their instrumental stuff but for me the vocals brought the whole group up a notch. It's easier to relate to and even listen to sometimes. Often bands like this who have vocalists end up screaming and yelling all the time, which isn't bad, but I like that his vocals are clean without any of that stuff. It offers kind of a new sound in this area that no other band has hit. Excellent album.

This band clearly has it. Awesome guitar play (courtesy of Aaron Johnson), slick vocals, and awesome drumming, this album is worth it. I really like their instrumental material as well (if you're a fan of Polyphia, which contains some Aaron Johnson, I would definitely suggest checking their "In Time-EP"). I hope to hear more from these guys later on.

Stellar album! Talk about original, unique and talented, these guys are all of that and more. This album also shows a group that can write insanely complex, focused music but also add certain aspects that make it appeal to a broad audience, as well. The talent in this band is unparalleled. Great job!

By far one of the best new artist I've caught onto this year. I cannot stop listening to every song. Each one is like a four part symphony. Mike Semesky's vocals are similar to Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust. So much fun to sing along.

I have been listening to this for months now and i have to say it is my favorite record out this year. From the outstanding musicianship to the newly incorporated angelic vocals, this is amazing.

Different than their instrumental EP, but still a great album. Regarding this as a standalone album for the band letting it set the tone will give you a better perspective on it. Highly recommend getting this album.

Honestly I think this horrible. Their instrumental stuff was fantastic but now they sound generic and boring this sounds like it came out of a Chinese djent factory.

I've listened to both EPs and kept up with the band ever since their inception. I can seriously say that whatever musical direction they have taken, they have excelled. This album is a very well-groomed and well put together masterpiece of musicianship that can be listened to over and over again. Every instrument is heavily featured (as always) at least one time in the album. A good example of this is in Moment Marauder after the opening chorus, there is a sweet bass lick that continues on until the next chorus comes around. The overall flow of this album to me seems that, in the beginning, it starts out fast. Right in your face just pure hard rock/metal. Around the late 4th song it starts to slightly mellow out with more lyrically charged, longer songs. After the instrumental "Breathe" it picks back up with "The Escape" which is my personal favorite. The best combination of lyrics, instrumentals, and vocals. Atlas Hour is a slight intermission given that half the song is another mellow instrumental. But after that, everything else is balls to the wall, in your face metal with Siren Sounds and A Voice Within. Hope this review convinced anyone who was on the fence about buying this album to buy it. It's worth every penny and I haven't regretted it. I'm a diehard Alterbridge fan and love the hell out of them. But I seriously think I found a new favorite band. Love these guys.
